Class “C” motor homes.

What kind of gas mileage will I get?

Mileage depends on the size of the motor home & driving conditions. Generally, you should get between 7 – 12 miles per gallon.

Is it difficult to drive a motor home?

Class C motor homes handle much like a car. However, you need to consider the extra length & height.  Make wide left and right turns.  It will
take some time to get use to it; do not be in a hurry!

What if the motor home breaks down on our trip?

Great question.  If something would fail keeping you from driving the unit or keeping an appliance from properly operating or a safety matter
and it can be repaired under $100.00 Please get it repaired and continue your trip.  If a major component fails ( engine, transmission ) of a
greater cost than $100.00 to repair,
contact us immediately.  We will locate a repair shop for you, and make payment.
Mechanical and Electronic components can fail at any time without notice.
If a major failure was to occur and the unit is unrepairable within 48 hours we will reimburse you your rental fee from the
day of major failure. You then can choose to secure your own transportation ( rental van, car, RV ) to finish your trip at
your expense.
We will then take responsibility to secure the unit, have it repaired and get it returned to us at our expense.
We have no control over mother nature or major mechanical or electronic failures.

You must be 25 years of age or older, and possess a valid driver’s license. No special endorsement is needed.

Is there a limit to how many people can ride in the motor home?

A class C motor home can hold anywhere from 4 – 8 people. In most states, it is the law that you wear seat belts at all times when the vehicle
is in operation.  Chick's Utility Trailer Inc. Recommend the following:
Never exceed the maximum capacity as posted in the actual vehicle you will be
using. Maximum capacity includes the vehicle, all fluids,  all occupants and
their gear.

All passengers should use the provided seat belts.  The total number of seat belts will vary according to the vehicle and  floor plan of the
actual vehicle you are renting.

Child safety seats should be used;  the installation of these seats in the recreational vehicle should follow the recommendation of the child
seat manufacturer.

Overhead areas, designed only for sleeping, should not be occupied while vehicle is in motion.

The vehicle should be properly secured prior to travel. This includes locking all doors  and  dead- bolting them where applicable. Be sure to
stow entry door step and secure compartment doors.

We ask that you use good judgment and decision- making when using this vehicle.

Are we allowed to travel out of the U.S.A.?

No; we do not allow our vehicles to leave the country.

What if I am in an accident?

Call the police and have a report made. This is a must!! You then must notify Chick’s Utility Trailers, Inc. within 24 hours.

What about insurance?

We include insurance.
Renter is responsible for deductible.

Are there any other fees that are applied?
